Fullerton Together: Supportive Pathways for First Year Students

As part of the CSU’s commitment to academic preparation and student success, Fullerton Together: Supportive Pathways for First-Year Students Program offers pathways for students identified through CSU placement standards as needing additional support with GE Written Communication and GE Math/Quantitative Reasoning requirements. How Does the Supportive Pathways for First Year Students Help Students?

  • Students have the opportunity to earn college credit toward graduation during the summer before their first fall semester.
  • The program curriculum is designed to meet students' needs by preparing them for their General Education (GE) and major coursework requirements.
  • The program offers instructional support, tutoring, and an opportunity to establish connections with peers, faculty, and staff.

Classes

Eligible students can register for stretch Math courses: ESM 110, ESM 115A, ESM 120, or ESM 20S or stretch English courses: ESE 101P, depending on placement and eligibility

    • ESM 110 and ESM 10S- Mathematics for Liberal Arts Students and Supplement
    • ESM 115A - College Algebra A
    • ESM 120 - Elementary Statistics
    • ESM 20S - Elementary Statistics Supplement
    • ESE 101P - Preparatory College Writing   

Class Dates: June 30 - August 1, 2025

Eligible students are notified via email late May to their CSUF email address with instructions on how to register for classes.

Fees

The cost for the summer Fullerton Together: Supportive Pathways for First Year Students is $203 per unit plus a mandatory fee of $1 for Health Facilities and $1 for the Student Union. Eligible financial aid applicants with a Student Aid Index (SAI) of $6,000 or less may be eligible for a fee waiver of the per unit fee. There are no additional fees for programming offered during the fall and spring terms.
